Hey everyone! This will be my last entry regarding my trip to Cebu last month!
In my previous post, we visited Simala Church which was amazing and a spectacular place!
This time, I’ll show you some of my photos of the whalesharks!
We left the Church at around six o’clock in the evening and drove on to our last destination for Cebu which was Oslob. From Simala Church to the resort we’d booked was about an hour and 15 minutes away, so we arrived at around seven in the evening, sleepy and famished.
The next morning, we woke up bright and early and drove about 30 minutes to the whaleshark watching area. Upon arriving, we were given a briefing of what to do in the water, and that the very important rule is not to touch the whalesharks, to prevent aggravating them (plus there’s a $50 fine if you do, and the possibility of going to jail).
After the briefing, we were led to boats and paddled to the middle of the beach. from the boats you can already see some of the whalesharks coming up to the surface to feed. But the fun part was seeing them underwater 🙂
Marbles had to stay behind though. No matter how adorable the whalesharks are, you can’t get that elephant to go into water. Sheesh.
But the most fun part was taking photos beside them 🙂
So I end my vacation entry here with the adorable whalesharks. 🙂 I’ll post again soon my other trips around the country!
